Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic support, particularly to neurodiverse children and adolescents. This role involves working collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality mental health care on an interdisciplinary team.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive screenings of patients to determine their mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient goals.
- Provide psychotherapy sessions to children, adolescents, and families in a supportive environment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Stay informed about best practices in special education as it relates to mental health support.
Experience
- MSW, RSW, or RP designation.
- Practice from a client-centred approach
- Member in good standing of one of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Experience with Animal Assisted Therapy or interest to train in Animal Assisted Therapy an asset
- Preference for experience with neuro-diversity and pediatrics and/or families
- Must be comfortable communicating in one of the official languages (English and/or French)
- Able to provide in person sessions.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Strong background in patient care practices and case management strategies.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to psychological assessments and treatments is an asset.
- Client centred approach to care.
- Experience working with first responders or veterans is an asset.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
About the Job
- We are looking to hire a full time / part time / casual employee who can dedicate 2-35 hours per week.

- Hourly rate of pay $75 per hour
